Uuchben Textil & Antalika'a (Mexico)

Blanca Itza, founder of Úuchben Bordado Textil, draws inspiration from nature — especially bees — honoring them as symbols of beauty and ancestral connection to the land. Her work is known for reviving endangered textile techniques, creating pieces that weave together spirituality, identity, and the natural world.

Mildre Ramírez, founder of Antalika’a, leads a creative space where women embroider from tradition, recovering forgotten stitches to express their stories and collective memory. Through her work, she translates the cosmovision of her community into powerful textile narratives. Mildre has represented Mexico at the Latin American Impact Investing Forum (FLII) in Guatemala and Mexico, and showcased her work at Runway LatinX (October 2024) and Vancouver Fashion Week (Fall/Winter 2025).

Their work is living history — and also a bold statement of future, innovation, and artistic expression.
